Things to note:
- You may have your marriage solemnised after 7 calendar days at the earliest or within 150 calendar days at the latest from the date of registration.
- Maskahwin (Mahar), which can be in benefits such as gold bangle, bracelets, etc or cash (Singapore Dollar Only). Current minimum rate is S$100.
- Current rate for marriage registration where one/both parties are Singaporean/Singapore PR is S$39
- The fee for solemnisation conducted outside the Registry's premises is not inclusive in the S$39 registration fee. Couples are advice to reimburse the Kadis or Naib Kadis for their transport expenses and their time spent for the solemnisation.
- Two witnesses are needed for your solemnisation. The details of the witnesses, that is their name as in their NRIC and their NRIC number, are needed at the point of registration. They do not need to be present for your registration. However, their presence are needed on the day of solemnisation.
- Certificate of Marriage Guidance Course Completion are required to present this certificate to the Registry upon collection of your marriage certificate.
